Avril English was born in Berkshire, England, in 1948 and grew up in Newton Aycliffe in County Durham. After spending some time in Switzerland working as an Au Pair, she married in 1977 and settled in Berkshire with her husband and daughter.



Avril became a Christian in 1988 and a year later God told her that she was to write a book. 'A House of Prayer' is the result of this, as well as many years hard work.
